I bought a matched pair of these for my 1987 Marshall 2554 Silver Jubilee combo. Well if you have a 2554 (or any Marshall for that matter) you should definitely try them out. Before I installed those, the amp had a pair of the so-called "Winged Cs, or =C=" EL34 tubes and I can honestly say that these are equally good sounding (if not better) than the =C=. The Bass sounds huge and tight with them, the mids are very strong and open sounding and the highs are sparkling. It is a very well balanced tube and the build quality seems top-notch. On another note, the manufacturer claims that these have a "hint of 6L6" in them and from my experience this is true especially when playing cleans. To conclude and with NOS =C= costing stupid money nowdays, these are probably the best current production EL34 out there.

Musste bisher an meinem Unison Research noch keinen Röhrentausch vornehmen und kann mich kaum als Experte bezeichnen. Wenn du aber so ein so ne Röhre mit eigenen Händen reinstecktst und dann wohlige Musik ertönt, fühlst du dich schon als Teil des Ganzen.....Also: der Thomann-Service ist beeindruckend. Schnell, freundlich und zuverlässig.Die Röhren klingen in den Höhen noch etwas hart, aber das braucht wohl nur noch etwas Einspielzeit.
Fazit: Alles gut.

Les meilleures EL34

Utilisées dans un Matchless Chieftain, elle sonnent exactement comme je voulais. Basses rondes et précises, médiums clairs et bien définis, aigus cristallins sans agressivité, le tout bien équilibré.
Par rapport aux JJ que j'avais avant, le son est plus clair avec ce côté 6L6 "fenderisant" que j'avais à l'origine quand j'ai acheté cet ampli (avec des E34L Groove Tubes quasi introuvables aujourd'hui).
Les JJ sont aussi excellentes avec un son un peu plus chaud (subjectif) mais crunchent plus tôt, donc on a moins de son clair.
Je remettrai ces lampes lors du prochain changement.

Válvulas de total confianza, instalada en in marshall tsl601, dese hace bastante tiempo y siguen como el primer día. Mejora del sonido respecto a las originales de Marshall. Ideal para sonidos rockeros.
