Vic Firth SDC Danny Carey Signature

Take these in your hands, and you will feel pitty for your drum heads right away. You're gonna cry with evey cymbal stroke, praying your precious cymbal didn't break ;)

Seriouly, they are heavy duty sticks.

I only ordered these to test a few different sticks, and the Danny Carey Signature stick was an instant "why not?" for me. This proved to be one of my new favourites. Balance is excellent, thick, so gripping it is extremely comfortable, and so far, can take a beating. My previous sticks were the VIC Grip 5Bs, but I'm thinking of using these ones instead in the future. Highly recommended, if you like thicker sticks.

Danny Carey is one of my favorite drummers ever, so i had to try his signature drumsticks. Didn't expect them to be so thick!! They are also a little heavier than an average pair, but they are built that way to withstand Danny's hard style of playing!! In conclusion, it's a really quality pair that will last longer!! I definitely recommend it, especially for heavy hitters!!

These are big, heavy duty sticks. Typical Vic firth quality with good grip and balance.

Very good grip and balance.

So far, I used lots of sticks including signatures such as Mike Portnoy, Dave Weckl, Charlie Benante etc., though this one is definitely the best. The grip is awesome with no sticky compounds that make your stuff dirty, just a taper which is a very clever solution. It is also a bit heavy but in a good way, it makes you notice its presence with the weight but does not slow you down, just in between I would say. As expected from Danny Carey, even the sticks are close to perfection.

I really like the feel of these they have a nice grip to them and the taper is a nice addition too!!!
For me I would like them to be a bit longer like the Vic Firth CMN but that's just me and I still use them they are great sticks.

This stick is a monster. nice big and heavy stick. I must say i have been hugely impressed with the little taper at the grip end, it works so well. After using these sticks for a week, i now will have to buy in bulk as i can no longer go back to what i was using which was the vic firth 5bn.

Danny is a giant and these sticks are very long (almost marching stick length) and quite thick for that reason. However, the sticks narrow down right on the fulcrum, making them quite comfortable and naturally guide your hands in an optimal position.

Vic Firth quality goes without saying.
