Freedom for acoustic guitars

The Xvive U8 Acoustic Guitar Wireless System delivers the perfect solution for all six-string players who want to cut the cables when miking their instrument. The digital wireless setup comes with a detachable supercardioid condenser mic that ensures high‑quality sound. Exactly tuned to frequency range of 80Hz to 17kHz and boasting an impressive maximum SPL of 142dB, the Xvive U8 is ideal for acoustic guitars, with its clip also expressly designed to fit almost all instruments safely and securely. Running on the 2.4GHz ISM band, the system works anywhere in the world and keeps the signal steady without any difficulties with licensing. Its high‑resolution audio (24‑bit, 48kHz) makes sure every musical nuance of the instrument is transmitted cleanly and without loss, either on stage or in the studio.

Clear sound – cut the cables

The Xvive U8 will win guitarists of all kinds over with its user‑friendly, plug‑and‑play setup. The compact, lightweight transmitter, paired with the swivelling supercardioid mic, mounts easily on most acoustic guitars, with its clip accomodating rib widths between 74mm and 105mm. Thanks to its range of up to 27 metres, the system is just as comfortable in the rehearsal room as it is on stage or in the studio. The lithium‑ion batteries deliver up to five hours of runtime, and the fast‑charge function via the USB‑Y cable included here will have transmitter and receiver up and running again in 2.5 hours. The rugged ABS housing keeps the whole setup tough and ready for the knocks of everyday gigging.

Perfect for pros

The Xvive U8 Acoustic Guitar Wireless System is aimed at musicians who want to run a wireless setup on stage or in the studio. It's built specifically for acoustic guitars and delivers the high‑resolution audio quality this versatile instrument demands. The detachable transmitter and the supercardioid mic provide precise, clear sound capture, even at gigs with other, potentially much louder instruments. Because musicians can choose between one of six channels, their signal will always be free from interference, giving them flexibility to work smoothly in all kinds of environments. Both build quality and audio fidelity are of a standard suitable even for professional players, with the flexible gooseneck mic ensuring the sound can be captured right at every guitar's acoustic sweet-spot.

About Xvive Audio

Xvive Audio officially entered the market in 2012 with its compact U2 wireless guitar system. Since then, the company has also been involved in the development of wireless microphone technology. Its catalogue also includes effects pedals, such as the Signature Series, which were developed in partnership with guitarist Thomas Blug. The products are designed by an American team, based in Pasadena, California, which is composed of musicians and engineers and draws on decades of professional experience. Its lead designer, Howard Davies, was previously employed at Electro Harmonix and Pigtronix, among others. Xvive Audio's goal is to create products that deliver exceptional sound and build quality, while remaining affordable for any musician.

Perform, record and play the easy way

The Xvive U8 Wireless System is an excellent tool for acoustic guitar players performing live or making recordings, but who don't have a traditional way (or integrated) of miking their instrument. Thanks to the long range of the transmitter/receiver pair, guitarists can move around the stage without having to worry about either leads or interference – ideal if they also front the band. The system's equally well‑suited to larger venues or open‑air events, thanks both to its rugged build and its high‑resolution audio quality, which will translate well even to professional PAs. Equally, for the rigours of studio recording, the Xvive U8 delivers precise, natural sound reproduction. The set includes everything needed for immediate use, including a mounting clip tailored to most typical acoustic guitars, a foam windshield and a fur windscreen, and a practical carrying case.

Affordable but not cheap.
Thorvi 23.09.2025
I could say that I'd tried many cheaper "twenty bucks" wireless options with terrible results due to transducer getting every single contact noise on the body of my instruments. The same happened with my hurdy-gurdy mechanisms. A complete waste of money.
As I have another XVive products that worked well, I decided to expend my money in this U8. It is not a bargain at all, but if you think it, this device is still affordable for the results. You can see inmediatelly that you get a well built combo that looks sturdy and crafted with good materials. The contact noises are minimal due to good isolation. The sound you get is clear enough and can be taken by the receiver without interferences in the range of 30 ft.
So, let's say the XVive U8 is a great option for the money and works well on a variety of instruments that the clamp can handle. A good option when you do not want to drill your beloved acoustic instruments.
