Compact and flexible USB controller

The Yamaha CC1 is a compact hardware controller for music production and streaming software, with a motorised fader, twelve freely assignable LCD buttons, and an array of rotary controls and transport buttons. With these versatile and easy-to-navigate options, the CC1 makes any workflow quicker and smoother, for producing music and other content as well as for live streaming. It can be individually configured using Yamaha's dedicated Control Center software, and also integrates seamlessly with the DAWs Steinberg Cubase and AVID Pro Tools, as well as with the professional streaming suite OBS Studio. In addition, its twelve LCD buttons are compatible with the Elgato Stream Deck control software, which also means the icons or images on the buttons themselves can be customised. Intuitive, fast, and flexible, the Yamaha CC1 is powerful and precise enough to control an almost endless range of software functions and parameters.

A pro-grade fader

The fader used in the Yamaha CC1 is also found in the manufacturer's professional digital mixers; as such, it's been able to prove its worth in countless real-life applications thanks to its enduring reliability, its superior sensitivity, and its comfortable operation. It has a travel of 100mm and is equipped with a touch sensor, making it well suited for writing precise automation automation curves manually. And because it's motorised, it follows parameter changes during playback. Beside the fader is the group of controls for switching and adjusting the selected channel, including functions such as mute, solo, monitoring, and panning. For more detailed adjustments, the context-sensitive Advanced Integration (AI) button above the main rotary knob allows users to immediately control whichever parameter is currently under the mouse pointer or otherwise focused in the DAW project.

The creative controller for content creators

The Yamaha CC1 hasn't just been designed for producers making music with DAWs, but also for creatives working with other software applications: This includes text and layout suites, media players, management apps, video production software, streaming platforms, and video conferencing tools. The twelve LCD buttons are particularly useful here for assigning even more complex software functions; the little screens can even display changing values like levels in real time. Future firmware updates for the Yamaha CC1 are planned to expand its control capabilities, including support for managing USB microphones and seamless integration with Steinberg's MixKey software. Despite this far-reaching functionality, the device's design is slim and sleek, allowing it to blend in unobtrusively and making it easy to transport. As such, it's also well suited to mobile productions.

About Yamaha

For decades, Yamaha has been one of the world's best-known manufacturers of musical instruments and audio technology. The Japanese company's long history began at the end of the 19th century with the harmonium. The product range has constantly expanded since then, which has made Yamaha one of the few manufacturers today to offer almost the entire range of existing musical instruments: From upright and grand pianos to guitars, wind instruments, and bowed string instruments and from drums and percussion to electronic keyboards and synthesizers. Yamaha is also a major force in the field of audio engineering as a manufacturer of mixing consoles, amplifiers, PA systems, and more. Yamaha's guiding principle is to combine traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology.

Flexible enough for streaming, video editing and more

Because of its comprehensive compatibility and customisability, the Yamaha CC1 is ideal for many fields beyond music production, and is particularly practical for live streaming and video post‑production. When working with streaming environments, users can control important functions and parameters such as switching between applications or adjusting audio levels right on the physical device itself. In video post‑production, transport controls, timeline navigation, clip selection, and parameter adjustments can all be operated by touch. This flexible package ships with a compact stand that allows the Yamaha CC1 to be angled for comfortable operation in a variety of settings, as well as a 1.5m USB‑C cable for connecting the controller to a computer.
