Die Yamaha Pulte der 96kHz-Reihe sind in aberwitzig vielen Details dermaßen durchdacht, daß man schon mal unvorsichtig werden kann.

Die Bedienung ist so logisch, daß ich am Tag nach dem Kauf meines DM2000 eine BigBand-Aufnahme angstfrei durchziehen konnte - trotz der üppigen Routing-Möglichkeiten.

Nicht im Traum wäre mir jedoch die Idee gekommen, daß eine AES/EBU-Interface-Karte mit Sampleratenkonverter letztere nur auf der Eingangsseite besitzen könnte. Nach dem es Yamaha sooo wichtig war, die 96kHz-Fähigkeit der Pulte ohne Kanalverlust durchzuziehen, dachte ich mit einer SR-Karte auch 48 kHz Hallgeräte/Effekte anschließen zu können - Fehlanzeige! Bei den Outputs wird nichts gewandelt. Offenbar hat diese Karte den Sinn, Keyboards+Sampler+Rompler+CD-Player etc. mit Digitalausgang anzuschließen - daß wiederum wäre nicht mein erster Gedanke gewesen. Also habe ich die S-Version umsonst gekauft - die normale AE96 hätte es auch getan.

Will man ein Yamaha-Pult mit Legacy-Processoren (z.B. Lexicon 300L) betreiben, hat man nur folgende Optionen:
- analog anschließen
- Pult in 48k oder 44,1k betreiben
- externen Sampleratenkonverter verwenden
