Fully-featured arranger with Genos2 DNA

The Yamaha PSR-SX920 is an arranger workstation with a truly comprehensive feature set, as befits its status as the top-of-the-line model in the PSR-SX series. With functions borrowed from Yamaha's flagship Genos2 keyboard, double the DSP power for the style insertion effects, and new tricks like Crossfade Portamento and Style Dynamics Control, this workstation doesn't just sound better than its predecessor – it's more musically expressive, too. The range of sounds and styles has been expanded, and the internal storage has also been upgraded. The controls and parameters have been laid out clearly, and deliberately designed for easy reading on stage. Familiar favourites and iconic instruments are still all to be found on board the SX920, alongside a host of styles and handy functions such as the Chord Looper. With its extensive feature set and smooth workflow, this arranger workstation is a solid partner for live players and songwriters alike.

Another level

The Yamaha PSR-SX920’s 1,587 voices (plus drums and XG voices) are immensely impressive in terms of sheer numbers alone; for even more musicality, though, this number includes 12 S.Articulation2 voices, 15 Super Articulation+ voices, and a staggering 340 Super Articulation voices, all designed to make solo instruments sound incredibly expressive. For intuitive parameter control, the joystick, rotary knobs, pedals, and buttons can be freely assigned different functions. Styles can also be tailored to individual playing with Dynamic Control. The sound engine offers 128-note polyphony and a high-quality effects section featuring reverb, chorus, and DSP (including VCM), as well as a master EQ and a compressor. The keyboard is built around a 61-note FSB keybed with Initial Touch and two built-in amps rated at 15W and 10W. Bluetooth Audio support is included for wireless connectivity.

This sophisticated arranger workstation is the right choice for professional musicians who demand the best for their live shows, whether they're performing solo or with a band. About Yamaha

For decades, Yamaha has been one of the world's best-known manufacturers of musical instruments and audio technology. The Japanese company's long history began at the end of the 19th century with the harmonium. The product range has constantly expanded since then, which has made Yamaha one of the few manufacturers today to offer almost the entire range of existing musical instruments: From upright and grand pianos to guitars, wind instruments, and bowed string instruments and from drums and percussion to electronic keyboards and synthesizers. Yamaha is also a major force in the field of audio engineering as a manufacturer of mixing consoles, amplifiers, PA systems, and more. Yamaha's guiding principle is to combine traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology.

As dynamic as you are

Both solo entertainers and keyboardists in a band need more than just an instrument that's packed with sounds and styles for their gigs: For a real sense of musicianship, the tones have to be playable with genuine expression and emotion. As soon as they start playing the Yamaha PSR-SX920, they'll find it gives them access to a range of techniques that make it possible to convincingly recreate string, wind, and keyboard instruments, with all the specific articulations, subtle nuances, and incidental sounds that real instruments produce. It's entirely up to the player which assignable controls they want to use for this: Among the features at their disposal is the new Crossfade Portamento, which enables authentically smooth transitions between notes. And the keyboard's preset styles aren't just played back statically: They respond to playing dynamics and adapt accordingly, meaning the same style can be used for completely different interpretations – and giving practised users of the Yamaha PSR-SX920 the entire world of music at their fingertips
