Stimmschrauben drehen sehr schwer, die Abhebung, wenn auch solide, arbeitet eher schwergängig. Es gibt keine Stimmsicherung, und mein Modell hatte zudem ein paar Beulen beim umgebördelten Rand.
Bei einer günstigen Snare wäre das zu verschmerzen, aber zu diesem Preis ist das definitiv ein no-go.
Ich besitze noch ein "old school" Recording Custom und der Qualität dieser Drums wird diese Snare m.E. nicht gerecht. Klingen tut sie aber gut.

Endlich nach 30 Jahren doch mal etwas mehr investiert als die Snares, die immer bei dem Komplettset dabei waren. Ich bin auf dieses Modell gestoßen aufgrund des Drummers einer meiner Lieblingsbands und fand es einen guten Mix zwischen Holz und Stahl. Mit den richtigen Fellen und gestimmt und den Teppich nicht zu locker und nicht zu fest gespannt, einfach nur genial der Sound, ganz gleich ob es tiefer oder höher knalliger gestimmt und sie verstimmt sich auch nach langen harten Gigs nicht so schnell und muss lediglich an dem ein oder anderen Stimmböckchen minimal nachgezogen werden. Sie sieht außerdem sehr edel aus.
