Not what i thought it would be
RL-NL. 20.12.2025
Build quality is OK, it has nice soft materials, but it does not feel like a +100 euro headphone. I don't know why exactly, it is the general impression i guess.

Quality of the cables is also not the best, they are a bit stiff...

The comfort of this headphone is weird. It does not fit well on my head, i think it has a weird clamping wire design or something. The earpads and the size also are not the best.

And besides that, the audio quality made me sad.

A LOT OF HIGHS and compression.

Listening with this headphone felt like someone put the compressor on max, everything had the same volume , squashed like a compressor, and boxy sound image.

My previous headphone was a AudioTechnica M40x, which is known to feel a bit cheap, but it had better wearing comfort and had much less clamping feel and better earpad design. I thought this AKG k371 would be an nice upgrade after the M40x stopped working, but it is not an upgrade, atleast, not for my ears and not for my head and my quality preferences..... (and that says something comming from a M40x, that is not the best quality)

I will look for another headphone,

Materials should not deteriorate after 3 months of light use
Mario5939 07.03.2021
Pluses:
1. Excelent sound quality for mixing. Improved with aftermarket pads (Dekoni)
Minuses:
1. Faux leather on pads started crumbling after 3 months of light use. After 6 so does the material on the top and sides, no contact areas.
2. Longer included cable is VERY microphonic, meaning touching stuff can be heard in the pads.
3. Balance of headphones on the head leans towards left ear (where the cable is). It takes effort to make them sit wright. Improved with aftermarket pads.

Overall, I still use them for the sound when recording and mixing.I know the price is low, but these materials should not have passed initial QC.
