Good potentiometer, solid and versatile

I bought some of these 1 Meg ohm potentiometers when I had to buy some different materials that I thought I would need to do some guitar wirings.
I know that these were (are?) used in vintage types of guitars like many Fender Jaguars, Jazzmasters and early 70s Telecasters, so we are talking about a bright, cutting tone.
Well, believe it or not, they do deliver! In fact, they let your pickups, whatever they are, to keep more of their natural resonance, so the sound will obviously be brighter. Just do a quick search online and you'll find more infos about 1 Meg ohm pots. For me they are just great, if you want to make your instrument a little brighter, they won't disappoint you

CTS pots are worth the hype.
DonSchlup 08.11.2020
Got this to upgrade my Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster electronics, and love them. The stock ones were unreliable, and were on their last legs, so I got the proper Allparts CTS ones and haven't looked back. Their taper is great, and made the guitar feel closer to a proper Fender one. Sturdy, reliable, and they work. What more can you ask for, right?

Better than the stocks
DickPuound 06.07.2021
Bought them to replace the stock ones in my new guitar. It was not an entry level guitar, actually quite far from it, but when I measured both volume pots they were 750 and 860 respectively, quite far from 1Meg.
These ones where both 1015 and the tone changed quite a bit after installing them.

AllParts reliability...
Edgar Blackdagger 07.08.2022
What I found with any Allparts pots I've bought is that they go wrong like no others.
Within the first 6 months, if the knob is at 10 and you accidentally turn it slightly more, it momentarily kills the sound, so if you're playing with the volume at 6 and you want to to to 10 for a solo, you first get muted for 1/4 of a second, which is something that of course gets worse during the first year and you have to be unreasonably careful.
During the second year, there come the crackles from dust, no matter the guitar or application you're using it, which is something that happens too soon compared with other pot brands.
These may say CTS but the quality control is AllParts...
I prefer Japanese Goldos, they are practically immortal.
