Excellent value for monet
I have several virtual grand piano libraries by now, and while none of them are bad - the art of sampling instruments has come a long way - I always seem to return to this one.
There is something in the way the Galaxy Steinway sounds that always draws me back to it. It is beautifully sampled, gives the user (me, in this case) plenty of options in the way of sound, with all the pedal, lid and noise options and then goes beyond all of that by adding a synth layer to it. I don't use that very often when I record, but for demoing and song writing purposes it is a good option to have on hand when you need a good pad sound quickly.
Its reverb options are also quite good; I've used them often and mostly didn't have to replace them with other reverb sounds except where I needed all instruments to sound like they were in the same room. They work quite well in tandem with other reverbs on other instruments, so I leave the option on in the library most of the time.
Attack, articulation and smoothness of playing are all very good, as one would expect from a library recorded in a world class studio as my native Belgium's Galaxy Studios. And, hell, it's a bloody Steinway, isn't it? That's all the quality you need right there.
Bottom line, the Best Service Galaxy I Steinway has been, is and will be my go to grand piano library for quite some time to come. I highly recoomend it.
