Great pair of headphones for music production
After adjusting my audio interface (no fault of headphones), these sound leagues ahead of anything else ive listened to. im sure if you spend double this you will find a better pair of headphones but at this price point these shine and even at higher price points beat the competition. They are apparently slightly draining at times for some however due to the high end, although I myself have never felt this.
Did take some getting used to, don't expect them to be overly bassy, although they do definitely have a strong low end, perhaps not enough for some causal listeners.
But where they really shined is when I opened my DAW.
Upon some listening I could suddenly hear tonnes of tiny issues in my music that could be fixed. Using them feels like the audio equivalent to putting on glasses for the first time. Even in music I listen to I feel like I can hear new parts.
I have had some issues of my outer ears hitting part of the layer between the driver and my ear, however this is easily remedied by ensuring theres a hair layer between the two, and either way this is a minor concern.
The build quality is good and I appreciate the fact every part of it can be individually replaced, rather than the whole unit, also adding a layer of customisability and modding that may excite some.
ps. transients are BEAUTIFUL on these! Listen to some well recorded guitar and some snares and hi hats!
