Highlights all the flaws of your technique
Dime 25.07.2021
I've been using Jazz III's exclusively for 3 years now, ad I still remember the first time I tried them: I played a run I was having trouble with at the time and found it even more difficult to play, because the pick showed me how inefficient my picking technique actually is.

PROS
- thin sharp point, perfect for precise picking
- right balance between rigidity and flexibility; it's stiff enough to shred, but forces you to keep picking lightly (In my experience a thin pick makes it difficult to play fast, but a too thick one makes me attack so much harder)
- small size forces you to keep a minimal area of the pick out to pluck the strings
- the red color makes these picks easy to find
(also, this is the kind of pick no one steals, because it is extremely uncomfortable for anyone not used to this size)

CONS
- durability is the biggest flaw for me. I used to play with the purple tortex picks, and when the edge would be too dull, I'd regrind them. But with the Jazz II's small point, I found that regrinding them is a waste of time and makes it uncomfortable to play. So they last abous as long as a tortex of equivalent width, considering you don't regrind our pick.
- the grip is ok, not great but ok. It's the text that makes these picks stay in my sweaty hands. The nylon itself is quite slippery, but the test makes it ok.

Overall these are my favorite picks, and have been the only ones I've used for the past 3 years...

great for shredding

These picks are great for shredding on guitar, only downside is that because they're so small, they tend to slip out of your grip when playing for long periods of time. pick + sweat = slip

Slippery when wet..

Not for your sweaty hands; or be prepared to grab a spare one. I had a break of 15 years from these little red devils, but after getting back to these, I cannot find a reason why. These are my go-to pick all the time now. Although, probably not for the heavy-strumming punk-rockers out there.

For the sweaty-handed players, like me, the Max-grip version might be worth checking out. Unless you insist modding these ones with a blade..

Great pick used by plenty of the big names in electric guitar. these picks are great for rock and blues playing and an essential part of any serious players setup.
