Personal favorite for acoustic guitar
zarzonis, 02.02.2020
I use these picks with my acoustic guitar. These are my favorites. With my electric, I use another type of Dunlop picks.

Pros:
- Best sound for my taste with my Takamine P5DC.
- Good grip
- They barely wear off
- Super cheap

Cons:
- None for me but keep in mind that everyone has different tastes and expectations.

I would definitely urge anyone to at least try them. I think that you'll love them with your acoustic.

Tortex...some of the best picks out there
I started playing guitar on Tortex's, and I'm going to use them for a very long time. Great all-around guitar picks. Nothing fancy, but they do their job well.
Great picks. The grip surface is soft and smooth and actually works pretty well. They slip if you start playing super heavy with them, but that's not what they're designed for. The yellow (.73) is one of my go-to picks for guitar. I tend to stay away from anything thicker than that because the squared edges make a clicking sound that I don't like. A lot of people don't have a problem with it, but I just prefer to have smooth, round tone without any extra string noise.
Excellent build quality. They're flexible and resilient, and they hardly wear at all. I've had the same yellow Tortex for 2 or so years now and it's worn less than half a millimeter. I don't like how the logo wears off very quickly, but it's not a big deal. Broken-in Tortex's look cool. I just wish they could stamp the logo into the pick rather than on the surface, like with the Gator Grips and Delrin 500's.
The price is a pretty good price for a dozen of these well-made picks. And a dozen will last you a really long time.

I am using them constantly for my acoustic guitar and currently, I did not find a better replacement for those picks.
But keep in mind that everyone has their own needs and picks choices are different from man to man.

Really nice Quality
xTaicho, 20.10.2018
I really didn't believe what a huge difference makers picks are... I had some really cheap picks that played like shit in comparison. They have the perfect thickness and are very durable.

I'm glad that my old ones wore down because now I've found my favorite picks for guitar.

Durable and solid
Drwalcore, 02.01.2019
I use this type of Tortex for years. Depends on string gauge or how I feel I use this one or Rifle/Wedge model. They're universal so basically having a bunch of them in my home studio makes it easy for anyone to use them.

Picks are a very personal choice. I like the feel of Tortex. Not everyone prefers this material, but it's the only pick I use.

old faithful!
James505, 21.01.2014
for me, this pick is the holy grail - I have tried them all - and this pick is perfect for pretty much any electric guitar task. Heavy enough to produce a clean, sparkly sound when playing clean, with enough give to allow the string to slightly bend the pick on release - the "chick-chick" picking noise is there, but very mellow. Stands up to a lot of punishment and bevels nicely after an hour or so.

My go to picks
26.01.2017
Use them for electric and acoustic guitar. I don't know have fast they runout because i probably lose them faster. Even thought they are bright yellow, once dropped they disappear in another dimension. Oh the great mystery of the pick...

Dunlop picks - Can't go wrong
09.06.2016
The Tortex 0.73 are my preffered picks since always. They have good grip, although they might get a tad slippery when under pressure on stage, but nothing major. If you're a hard hitting bass player as I am, they might not last as long (a gig or two or about a month of rehearsal), but the sound and playability they provide compensate for that by a long shot.

Review Dunlop Tortex Standard 0,73
Andrew822, 06.06.2013
I like these picks they do the job and due to the colour are easy to see when you drop them on a dark floor or the chair or sofa. It took me a bit of time to get use to the tortex compared to the nylon picks I always used but these do have a good feel and sound as well so Id recommend these to try to anyone.

Good value!
15.03.2015
These dunlop picks feel good to play with. They are not too heavy and not too light.

Very versatile pick for playing a wide variety of styles however I use these mainly when playing Funk music. They are good for playing funky rhythms and popping lines.

These picks are great for playing either hard or soft with your picking/strumming hand allowing for good dynamics.

The grip is very smooth however they play really well and have a nice tone.
They are good and durable and have a good life span.

Also they are easy to find because they are bright yellow.

Brilliant offer, great pics
09.06.2016
Product used for acoustic guitar

Pros:
- Very sturdy and durable plectrum - hard to break!
- Colour is a plus
- Brilliant offer - (works out at about 45c per pic which isn't bad at all!)

Cons:
Personally, I have not encountered any!

Although, if you do not like the harder type pics, then these pics wouldn't be suitable for you.

Just the picks you?re looking for
29.01.2016
I?ve always used these picks ever since the first day I started to play guitar.

There?s not really much to say about them. They?re pretty alright for most playing styles.

I would buy this product again.

My favorite picks for years!
12.03.2014
I really like the Dunlop Tortex Standard 0,73 mm and I have been using them for the last 10 years.

The Grip is fairly good. What I like the most about it, is the fact, that they last very long. But I have to admit that I don't use them for Metal.

I have been using this thickness forever!! best for my needs. I use heavy gauge strings (11 - 60) and do from mellow soft post rock to bone crushing metal and it works a treat!! would recommend for anyone no matter if you are lead or just pure riffage!

Excellent also for bass guitar
rasman, 01.07.2014
This is the only pick I use for gigs. Whatever pick I try out, this is the most comfortable and durable pick. Of course it's a personal taste and it also depends on which style and music you play, strings you use etc. but this is very suitable for all kinds of playing styles.

Dunlop Tortex picks are the best out there by miles in my humble opinion they come in all shapes and sizes and thanks to the grippy coating they very rarely rotate inbetween your fingers whilst playing. buying larger packs saves money people so go buy some for yourself!
