Simple and value fret mute
A simple and good fret mute with velcro attachment which keeps it in position. It has enough tension on multiple types of guitars.
It's certainly a step up from my home made one though I haven't compared to perhaps more expensive ones.

Fret Mute
I record songs quite often, especially riffs and solos, solos most of the time. My solos consist mostly of sweeps and fast tapping transitions, so it's very important for me to have a clean sound without any extra "dirt" when recording. This is my first time using Fret Mute and I'm very happy with it.

These take care of unwanted string vibrations just as well as other brands at two or three times the price. The small one fits my guitars and 4-string basses with no problem.
