the top is made from satin-ish, artificial leather looking material and doesn't feel terribly hard to sit on.
The height of these is similar to a standard table chair.
For assembly i recommend screwing the legs together very loosely and only then tightening them, else it's difficoult to get the 4th screw in.

The perfect studio pivot stool
Very happy with this stool! It was easy to put together and it's very sturdy. The ability to spin around makes it very practical for recording in a small studio.
