Great little support
Excellent, compact guitar support that you can leave on the guitar and still put the guitar into its case. Comes with an adhesive patch to allow the device to be used on porous finishes but personally I would recommend using a static attraction pad like Kling On instead as the supplied pad is VERY sticky and I would worry about being able to remove it.

Can't Imagine Playing Without One
This is the support I use for gigging or traveling with my guitars. After using a guitar support I can?t imagine playing without one. They bring the guitar up where you can play comfortably with the widest possible range of motion. It replaces a foot-stool or a strap letting you sit up straight, and rests well on either leg.
It does it?s job discreetly and is easy to use. It can fold together while attached to the guitar allowing you to use a stand. There?s no bulky structure sticking out to be bumped into while not playing. I?ve played with other musicians who didn?t notice the Gitano at all until I pointed it out.
Transporting it is a breeze, there?s room in my case or even a jacket pocket will do. There are two suction cups and two hard pieces of rubber in the square area where it attaches. I?d prefer to have the weight spread out over a larger area and to have something more solid for resting on my leg. When/if the suction cups release you have to stop playing to reattach. If I had to own only one guitar support I would buy the Gitano.

Great product
No more setting up a foot stool....love this concept, always ready and accessible for use. The Gitano is a hands down winner for me. Well worth buying and Thomann sell these at a great price.

A great idea
I played classical guitar for many years using a footstool before I discovered knee-rests, and I've never looked back; they're so much better for your back.
This is the second Gitano I've bought, so I can leave one in my guitar case ready for gigs. I've tried a couple of other makes but this is the only one that folds up against the side of the guitar when not in use. It's also very light. It doesn't look too robust, but I've had the first one I bought for about eight years and it's still going strong - I've changed the suction pads just once in that time, and it's been used regularly!
My only reservation is that, if you tend to lean on the guitar a bit when you play, it occasionally pulls off. This only happened a few times at first, so I must have learned not to lean pretty quickly!
An essential aid to playing, especially classical guitar. Go on, treat your back!
