Defective A string
I have enjoyed Harley Benton items for many years and thought I would give these a try, expecting them to be a good standard and value for money. Sadly, despite very careful cutting (I always make two 90 degree bends in the silk before cutting to save damaging the strings) the A string was defective and rattled from within the string.
I contacted Thomann and offered to send it back for a replacement but they confirmed it was not covered by any warranty.
The whole set has therefore been thrown in the bin.
Don’t risk wasting your money on these like I did.

quality issues
Don't waste time and money on these strings. Bought a setn the A string was rattling, got a replacement with the same issue.

Is this a joke?
E string snapped as soon as I put the string on the instrument and started tuning.

Defective A string
Strings E,D,G are nice but the A string is rattling even when not fretted. I checked it on 2 bass guitars that sound perfect with other strings - same result. Now I see that another customer has the same problem with that particular string. It is a shame because the other strings sound fine and all four of them are great to the touch...
