Not straight

Literally the only job of a straightedge is to be, wait for it, straight. I almost set up the truss rods incorrectly because I blindly believed that this product actually was as advertised.

Avoid!! These are not straight
Raymo 24.08.2022
Avoid these like the plague as they are not straight, I was able to grind one side down straight as I have the tools to do it but took me a couple of hours.

Buy a straight edge from a proper luthier, like crimson guitars or stewmac. I have a straight edge for a guitar from Crimson Guitars absolutely, beautifully machined straight edge you can rely on!!

What..?!
Angry bassplayer 19.12.2021
I ordered this product for my P-bass.
P-basses are 34". The HB ruler isn't. I tried it on an original P-bass and a Warmoth jazz nech. The notches are way off!
Don't buy this crap, pay a little more money for a quality product instead.

I compared this to another tool that I know is straight.
This HB tool is not straight, don't buy. If you use this for setup work, you will make a mistake.

A straight edge that's not straight is pretty useless
dlm-d 19.10.2020
I bought this straight edge to set up my bass but ended up making my own with a Dremel and an actually straight ruler. Both sides of this product are warped, so it can't be used for its purpose. Quite bad.
