The product is solidly built, and the unboxing experience was great! With a height of 20mm, it is probably thin enough to be tucked right under your pedalboard for convenient wiring. The charger comes with a cable that isn't very long, which means you need a power supply quite near your feet or within your immediate performance space. Thomann was so kind as to throw in an earthed travel adapter, which is good the the US and even Thailand.
Before I continue, please keep this in mind: all pedalboards are unique. The product did not work for me, but it could still work well for others with similar setups. You just have to try it for yourself.
My main travel board has a mixture of analog and digital pedals, ranging from low power consumption (under 7mA) to high consumption (380mA). I had been using a Mooer 2A power supply and a daisy-chain system, which produced barely noticeable noise levels—until I added a high-consumption digital pedal. Initially, I resolved this by using an individual Joyo ZGP Noise Blocker (available here on Thomann). However, as I added more pedals to my setup, the noise became troublesome, with hisses, whistles and loud static. I purchased the Harley Benton PowerPlant ISO-5 Pro in an attempt to eliminate the noise, but to my surprise, it only made things worse. The noise levels increased three to four times compared to the daisy chain system I was previously using. I then decided to invest in several additional Joyo noise blockers. In my particular setup, this turned out to be the best solution.
