Harley Benton Security Locks CH

DO NOT TRUST those strap locks, after 2 uses one of them started failing and my bass almost falls, then the 2nd one started failing too and almost ends in disaster too. Don't risk dropping your instrument and buy something with better quality.

Reason? The retaining pin is too short, since the pin is too short it's very easy to pull the security lock out of the retainer unintentionally.

Finally got around to trying to fit these. I bought them to go with a HB Les Paul style guitar. The screws are too small for the holes vacated by the existing strap buttons and the new buttons hole is too small to just swap screws. So unusable.
This is a Harley Benton branded product and I think it would be fair to expect them to fit another Harley Benton product. Why not have the thing designed so it can take both sizes of screw and include them.

Bought 3 of these for some new guitars I had bought. The guitars were more secure without straplocks on them. The threads on the nuts don't secure on to the main section at all, meaning that with the smallest amount of pressure, the strap lock pops off sending your guitar hurdling towards the ground.

Spend a little more money and get a decent straplock.

I installed these in a telecaster. The top strap lock repeatedly came undone and I had to replace them.

Threads are no good, can enter wrongly and jumps back a thread if tightened enough.

After I attached the strap locks and stood up with the guitar, the upper strap lock disconnected and my guitar fell to the floor. Luckily my guitar was not damaged but these strap locks are clearly useless. This happened multiple times (though I tested them on my bed in order not to risk the guitar).
