Eigentlich eine sehr gute Gitarre...

Die Überschrift sagt es bereits: an der Verarbeitungsqualität der Gitarre ist nichts auszusetzen. Die Pickups klingen mir eine Spur zu dunkel, was aber kein k.o.-Kriterium darstellt. Fast keine meiner anderen Gitarren verfügt noch über die Originalpickups. Diese hätte ich irgendwann auch ausgetauscht.
Das Problem ist der Hals. Wie bereits bei der HB Fusion III ist er für meine Hand einfach zu klobig. Während die Fusion II wie für mich gemacht ist und neben meiner Shecter Sun Valley Super Shredder weiterhin meine Hauptgitarre darstellt, sind hier über den gesamten Verlauf einige Millimeter zu Viel Durchmesser, die ein angenehmes Spielgefühl verhindern.
Ich möchte hier betonen, daß das mein persönliches Problem ist. Für jemand anderes mit etwas größeren Händen könnte es die Traumgitarre sein. Wir passen aber leider nicht zusammen.

HB ST-80 mit persönlichem Feinschliff – einfach klasse! 🎸

Ich kann die Gitarre nur wärmstens empfehlen – das ist inzwischen meine zweite HB ST-80! Neben diesem Modell habe ich mir auch noch die Radiant Red bestellt. Beide Gitarren kamen absolut einwandfrei und sicher verpackt bei mir an – keinerlei Mängel.
Ein paar Anpassungen habe ich vorgenommen:
Die Tremolofedern habe ich ausgetauscht, da sie leicht zu singen angefangen haben 😄. Auch der Tremoloarm wurde durch die Push-in-Variante ersetzt, und die Potiknöpfe habe ich gegen verchromte Metallknöpfe ausgetauscht – passt optisch perfekt zum Tremolo.
Der Hals ist ein absoluter Traum: superglatt und sehr angenehm sowie schnell bespielbar. Die Humbucker leisten hervorragende Arbeit – ein Austausch kommt für mich nicht infrage! Die Saitenlage habe ich etwas tiefer eingestellt, ohne dass dabei auch nur das geringste Schnarren auftritt. Einfach Top!

Ich hoffe, es kommt irgendwann noch eine in Gelb oder Neongrün 😍 – die würde ich sofort nehmen!

La concurrence de charvel

J'ai acquis cette st80fr HH lime sparkle dans les suite d'une visite au magasin physique de Thomann a treppendorf. J'ai eu le bonheur de passer une après-midi a tester une bonne 15aine de guitares. Ce modèle était sorti 5 jours avant ma visite et était disponible a l'essaie. Et la j'avoue avoir fait un comparatif de superstrat a Floyd rose 1000 pour mon petit plaisir. Et cette gratte n'a pas grand chose a envier a des charvel a 1400€.

Sur les photos elle paraît noire mais en fait c'est plus un vert sombre un peu olive avec un sparkle très beau la finition est ultra propre aucun pet de vernis rien a redire sur la peinture.
Le manche est un peu atypique, il est asymétrique avec une certaine épaisseur en D. On est loin du manche de shred tout fin et plat.
La finition du manche est juste a tomber, les frettes sont intégrées a la CNC sans pied de frette sur le bord de touche ce qui est absolument parfait, aucune accroche c'est bluffant. L'accès au truss rod en base est très appréciable et efficace.
Manche ultra confortable pour moi mais le tester avant a été un vrai + dans mon choix.

Les micros Tesla sont assez cool mais je pense les remplacer dans un avenir semi-proche.
C'est la vrai différence avec les charvel, une paire de sh4 ou de Fortitude lui fera vraiment du bien.
C'est la grosse différence avec ces concurrentes : les micros.

Mais vu le gap de prix, la finition et surtout la qualité du manche... Rien que ça, ça vaut le coup.

Le Floyd 1000 a les défauts du 1000, c'est a dire qu'un changement de barre de vibrato et de ressort lui feront du bien. Et ce Floyd equipe également des grattes a 1400€

En rentrant chez moi je l'ai donc commandé un exemplaire HH car je la trouvais plus légère que la H, plus polyvalente et bien équilibrée.

Emballage parfait, frettes bien briantes, quasiment réglée.
Juste un petit ajustement du truss rod et c'est parti.
Livrée avec les clefs et un tige pour le truss rod. Et une petite jack (facultatif+++)

En conclusion : superbe guitare pour ce prix bravo Harley Benton.
Pour avoir testé également les max fusion cette série st 80fr est encore au dessus niveau finition de manche.
Fan des années 80 allez-y, la finition est un peu plus discrète mais c'est vraiment beau.

Nice but flawed

Got two of them but had to return both. Not sure if I was super unlucky or the series has some design flaws, but in both guitars one side of the neck was slightly higher than the other one, which resulted in low E being very close to the neck edge. Also, the fretwork wasn't that great: some frets were nice and flush with the neck edge, some 1-2mm off. Both issues resulted in low E string slipping off the fretboard at times.
Other than that the guitar was super nice. No finish flaws whatsoever, decent hardware, nice pickups (very mid-range sounding, if you want high end bark you'll need to swap them). The neck was on the thick side, so players with small hands won't like that one for sure.
Overall, I would've kept it if it wasn't for the weird neck issue. That thing alone killed it for me.
