This string winder bit fits the pegs just fine, and the plastic seems sturdy enough for those nastier, harder to turn bits, but only to a point. The plastic used is not reassuring, they weigh next to nothing, but, that's not really the issue, the main problem is that the shaft itself is plastic. Now, I will attest that it can handle higher torque (older nastier classical guitar tuners, for example, tend to be stubborn and hard to turn), but it's the lack of magnetism that ruins this for me. Each time you point whatever it is you use to drive this to the ground, it just falls out. I would have gladly paid twice the price for the shaft to be metal just for that. Ended up drilling out a small hole in the center and put a piece of steel into it, now it's somewhat okay. Might be fine if you change strings once in a blue moon, but if you work with guitars, I'd say stay clear, it'll drive you mad.
