Great value for money. Getting very close to the USA Stingray sound at a fraction of the price. Black sparkle finish is lovely and the neck is fab with the rolled edges. The weight was pretty good for a 5 string at 9.2lbs. The only negative is that the supplied strings were awful - the B had an odd dull warbley sound and they sounded pretty flubby out of the box. Threw them away straight away and fitted a new set.

Pour ce prix là je pensais pas avoir cette qualité. On verra ce que ça donne dans le temps mais y’a pas de raison.
J’ai déjà une Musicman en 4 cordes,
cette déclinaison de Sire n’est pas comparable dans le toucher et à la fois on retrouve l’idée de la forme et une bonne partie du son. C’est assez bluffant.
Je trouve le preamp vraiment bon et efficace. Il ajoute trois vrais paramètres (aigu, médium, grave) qui ne viennent pas polluer ou détruire le son global. Je dis ça par comparaison à d’autres basses 5 cordes, bien plus haut de gamme où le preamp t’envoie certaines fréquences juste affreuses. Ça la rend très polyvalente, simple à gérer et tu peux tout moduler sans craintes.
Le manche est agréable, le poids aussi pour une 5c. Vraiment je n’ai pas de critique à faire et même les paillettes du vernis me font marrer du coup. Il a toutefois fallu régler l’intonation/justesse de trois cordes sur 5 c’est peut-être un détail mais si tu ne sais pas faire les réglages l’instrument est juste faux.

Richtig stark abgeliefert Herr Miller - Stingray by MM kann sich warm anziehen

Leider ging mein alter aktiv OLP Stingray Nachbau kaputt. Von Beginn an lag mein Hauptaugenmerk auf der Marke Stingray by MM, sodass ich zwangsläufig über mehrere Youtube Videos auf die Marke Sire/Marcus Miller aufmerksam wurde. Da mich vor kurzem wieder die totale Lust am Bass spielen gepackt hatte, ist der Kauf eines Fender Jazz Bass der Serie Player II nicht allzu lange her.
Ich weiss es ist eventuell für den ein oder anderen schwierig diese beiden Bässe zu vergleichen jedoch muss ich sagen, dass die Verarbeitungsqualität des Z3 mich deutlich mehr überzeugt hat - gerade weil ich hierbei etwas Sorge hatte, da in Berichten dieses doch hin und wieder kritisiert wurde. Die Qualität wurde durch Thomann geprüft und es fiel mir beim Auspacken und Ersichten des Kärtchens am Halse des Basses ein Stein vom Herzen - danke dafür. Der Bass ist verrückt gut! - Klingt kernig wie er sollte und macht unglaublich viel Spass! Das Einzige an das ich mich gewöhnen muss ist der glänzende Hals, da ich beim Spielen eher matte Hälse gewöhnt bin - es jedoch bei der Bewertung für mich keinesfalls ein Minuspunkt ist.
