Qualität hat seinen Preis

Als angehender Berufsmusiker im Bereich Percussion sind gute Schlägel unverzichtbar.
Diese sind zwar die teuersten aber ich habe mehrere Schlägel bei thomann selbst ausprobiert und diese sind die besten. Klanglich und vom Gewicht liegen sie einfach besser als andere Schlägel von Marimba One, auch wenn andere Reihen KM, DH auch nicht schlecht sind. Aber für einen guten Allround-Klang, präzise und klare Höhen, ohne dass der Bass besonders hart klingt, sind diese Schlägel perfekt. Fürs erste braucht man sich nicht um weitere Modelle (weicher und härter, etc.,..) kümmern, mit den WaveWrap 2 ist man gut bedient, bei mir mit Rattan :-)

Negativ finde ich die rauen Enden, die sind bei mir nicht abgeschliffen, aber ich spiele mit Traditional Grip, deswegen stört mich das weniger, für Stevens-Spieler eher suboptimal. Entweder selbst schleifen oder umtauschen, das ist in dieser Preisklasse aber sicherlich nicht der Regelfall.

Auch bezüglich der Haltbarkeit habe ich gehört, der Garn würde relativ schnell aufgehen. Ich spiele jetzt seit einigen Monaten mit denen, kann ich bis jetzt nicht bestätigen, sehen aus wie neu.

Wenn man auf der Suche nach einem Allround-Schlägelpaar ist, das einem lange und verlässlich überragenden Klang liefert, ist man damit gut bedient. Wenn man nicht den besten Klang haben möchte und lieber Geld spart, ist bestimmt auch mit günstigeren Modellen zufrieden. Aber vor allem im direkten Vergleich mit anderen Modellen hört man die klanglichen Unterschiede und spürt das veränderte Spielgefühl.
