This new "amp in a box" line is overall great. I had the opportunity to try the jcm800 as well but eventually opted for the jvm instead.

The pedal is very sturdy, metal casing. The presentation is nice as well.
The sound is big, thick and heavy on the bottom end in classic jvm style, but the tone knob can clean up pretty nice. The gate is a very welcomed feature, and it works great.
It can easily do crunch tones as well, but I think it gives its best, with the gain cracked past 7.
Overall I'm very pleased, it's a great pedal for a good price.

Mein Kaufgrund Nummer 1 war die Kombination des Gates mit der Zerre. Darauf habe ich lange gewartet, zumal das Gate selbst bei fiesen Einstellungen weit jenseits der 12 immer noch sehr natürlich und v.a. schnell öffnet und erst spät aber hocheffektiv schließt. Die Klangregelung regelt optimal, die Gainreserven reichen auch bei Single Coil massig aus. Kein unnötiger Schnickschnack und der leuchtende Ring um den Schalter ist auch gut sichtbar. Klang ist etwas "moderner" oder auch druckvoller/bassiger als der JCM800 Grundsound. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

J'utilise cette pédale dans un marshall DSL5C dont j'ai remplacé le haut parleur par un greenback avec une Gibson Modern Lite et une Sire S7 FM.
Très souvent les pédales de drive / disto ont un coté fizzy, un rendu trop fin / aigue, ce qui n'est pas du tout le cas de cette JVM.
C'est une franche réussite , on a assez de gain pour faire du blues / rock nerveux , peut être du métal (j'en fait pas) , le noise gate est hyper efficace !
