Padded section not long enough for me

I bought this for use with an 11lb Les Paul. I'm 5'11" and I wear my guitar at a medium to lowish height. After adjusting to this height the wide padded section stops just before it goes over my shoulder, making it basically useless to me.
The distance from strap pin to the end of the padding is 63cm. I recommend you measure up before buying!
