Guardala Fusion bridges the gap between the Crescent and the Brecker models

The quality is the first thing that strikes you when looking at this mouthpiece - the best made of the more recent Guardalas byNadir Ibrahimoglu. The plating is much better and longer lasting than the USA made Laser Trimmed models, the toothplate stays in! The sound and feel is much more reminiscent of the older original models. This Fusion model is slightly narrower than my regular studio model, but gives just as deep and rich a sound and powerful harmonics, so would be the perfect step up from the Crescent model player who wants a bit more power and edge without going to a wider tip opening. I found my usual La Voz mediums a little too soft on this piece, and so would probably go for Vandoren Java 3 to get the best out if it. Great value for money pro mouthpiece suitable for all occasions, highly recommended.
