Nektar wasn't a brand I was aware of until researching controllers, but I was impressed by the feature set, reviews, and price point of the LX61+. I've been very impressed and recommended it to my cousin - he's bought one and is also pleased.
The keys respond just as I'd expect a synth-type action to do - that may not be to everyone's taste, but it's just a question of what you're looking for.
I don't find the drum pads to be as expressive and responsive as I'd like them to be, so if that's the primary function for you I'd probably look elsewhere. They're fine, just not great (with the caveat that I'm not the world's best pad-drummer).
Once I'd realised that the driver (which comes with the unit) has to be installed for full integration, the LX61+ plays very well with Cubase, and the pots are easily assigned and responsive.
In short, this has been a great success - does exactly what I needed a controller to do, and does it reliably and competently. Highly recommend.

A perfect upgrade from the 20 key I used to play.
Casually Name Dropping Kafka 19.04.2020
This Keyboard is everything I needed in a keyboard. Plenty of keys and pads to get what I needed. There's Plenty of features that I honestly don't know how to use yet, but the easy playability and layout will aide me once I get around to reading the manual.
I admittedly have little experience or knowledge in MIDI Keyboards so maybe this statement is from a place of ignorance but I don't see myself "Upgrading" from this Keyboard anytime soon.

I knew what I will get
bogdan40 27.02.2020
I give it this feedback in regard with the overall playability. Don't get me wrong, I knew what I will get for the money.
The worst thing, are the keys - you don't have any feedback, are very light and if you force it sideways, it can be overlapped with another key.
If you want to learn to play piano/keys, don't buy it. I'm using it for pads (nothing more), in tandem with another piano so it's for this, is ok.
The signal delay is acceptable, there is no lag. The sensibility of the key is on 5 or 8 levels (not from the books, from what I've experienced), so not that great.
Overall, is cheap instrument, don't expect anything special.

A wonderful inexpensive midi controller
JMPT 12.04.2021
the LX61+ feels great to operate. Its many features are a blessing for the price and the manual is written plain and simple and is easy to understands. It interfaces without issues with Win10, MacOS and iOS and has not given me any problems.
The handling of the keys is absolutely good and I did not have the feeling that there was any difference in the individual keys, neither in touch nor sensitivity.
The overall feel of the device is obviously not premium and while setting it up or carrying it around it even feels a bit flimsy. Which is not a problem in the end as it feels absolutely good while playing it.
For the price it seems there is no better option.
