I tried Prim strings because folk fiddler Garry Blakely uses them and his sound is magical. I found them a little difficult to get used to at first because the sound is so clean and distinct that every intonation error is immediately exposed. Durability also excellent - they last and last with consistently good sound.

GREAT STRINGS FOR GOOD PRICE

I use these strings now for 10 years or so. I play and teach Traditional Irish fiddle. these strings give the violin a nice bright tone and loads of volume needed in a traditional session. It will improve the sound of the violin if you have trouble getting a good sound. Probably not the best for professional classical violinists but perfect for Trad! And the price is right!
