Sabian OMNI 19

I bought this cymbal to replace a crash ride played in a Big Band setting. You get a lovely, dry, complex ride sound and a very controllable crash.

This cymbal is great for jazz, pop, rock, funk, soul etc, though I do not know how well it would work for metal.

The crash is short, almost like a darker splash cymbal, which I find is brilliant, though may not be to everyone's taste. The cymbal can also be crashed at a very low volume and even with brushes.

sehr vielseitig einsetzbar

bin sehr zzfrieden mit dem Becken. besonderem im leisen bereich ersetzt das becken ein ride und ein crash becken und begeistert durch den warmen sound und die schöne ansprache. wie bei HHX üblich. keinen abzug gibt es für den Ride sound. dieser könnte für mein geschmack etwas mehr klarkeit vertragen.
ich verwende es gerne, aber das ding hat natürlich auch seinen Preis.

Estuve probando platos, tocando filas y filas, y me tuve que parar en éste. El sonido es genial. Responde enérgico a golpes fuertes y sutil al tocar flojo.
Crash rápido y suave. Ride con distintos matices y timbres.

Muy recomendado en el contexto de jazz y distintas fusiones, aunque valga para casi todo.

Si buscas versatilidad en un plato, no sigas buscando. Un Hihat y el Omni será lo único que necesitarás.

La única pega que podría ponerle es que, en la parte externa brillante, se marca cada golpe que des (a nivel estético) y tiene rápidamente la apariencia de ser un pato con mucho uso.
