Not what I was expecting
So these have a good repuation for being a solid headphone and I mainly bought them to use for when I'm mixing for an extended time and want to rest my ears from my main monitor. I don't really know what is is exactly, but I'm having a hard time falling in love with them. They sound too dull for me to enjoy mixing with them on me.
I have also tried them as recording monitor headphones, but thats not either working perfectly. They are not particulary tight around your ears so if the singer wants the headphone a bit loud I end up with too much bleeding when using certain microphones.
I ended up using them mostly for checking out my mix in mono.
I'm probably too negative in this review. Still an ok headphones. Just didn't meet my initial expectations and I guess that coulours my whole experience with it.

Good, not perfect
These headphones are really famous and a lot of people recommend them--that's why I bought them for mixing. I wouldn't say they are perfect, my expectations were higher, but still, I not regret buying them: nevertheless, it's a GOOD choice. I use them with my UAD Apollo Twin sound interface and everything works fine, I have enough of headroom.
Pros:
+ clear and detailed sound
+ interchangeable cable
+ nice look
Cons:
- seemed to me too bright - but it's good for finding sound artifacts
- not so comfortable, a bit tight - after an hour of using them I had a headache (hope some time needed for them to loose up)
- the cable is not coiled (I believe the majority of sound engineers prefer a coiled one, as I do)

Great Sounding
Sound is very good though I would not recommend mixing a song entirely on them. Quality is decent but the connection from the wire to the headphones is quite flimsy, though still work after a few months use. Overall very good.

Neutral with a hint of dulling but narrow in the head sound stage
Auditioned with classical & opera genres. I found the sound realistic/ neutral (e.g. high notes, complex orchestral, clapping etc.). Base instruments lacked the absolute lows but remained realistic within that spectrum. However for me the lack of soundstage was a major issue.

Very reliable
Using headphones for mixing, at the moment, (coupled with sonarworks) and they are a great solution if you can't work in an acoustically treated environment!
They need some help in the sub area, wich can be an issue if you are mixing heavy bass pieces, but They absolutely shine on the mid range! i'm very happy with this purchase

Perfect sounding but not as c
the sound quality is fantastic—I can listen all the details that I could'nt with my other headphones. However, I found them a bit uncomfortable for extended use. If you're looking for great audio performance and don't mind sacrificing a bit of comfort, these are a solid choice!"
