The Shure MV7X distils the MV7 concept down to its essentials. Voiced for speech
The Shure MV7X's moving-coil capsule is voiced specifically for close-miked speech and singing. A gentle low-frequency roll-off reduces unwanted rumble, while a remarkably even midrange keeps voices sounding natural before subtle presence lifts around 4kHz and 6kHz improve intelligibility. Above 10kHz, the response rolls away steeply, avoiding excessive brightness and keeping the emphasis on the frequency range that matters most for speech. The combination of low sensitivity (-55dBV/Pa) and a cardioid pickup pattern naturally reduces unwanted room ambience and off-axis spill. With no phantom power required, the MV7X works with virtually any microphone preamp. About Shure
The American company Shure began developing microphones during the early 1930s and is one of the pioneers of the audio engineering sector.
