I’ve been using those sticks for some time now and really like them. They are suitable for drummers who find regular 5A stick a bit light but don’t wanna use 5B. Because of the density of the oak they feel a bit heavier. Also they are forward balanced which helps with the attack. I find them more durable than their hickory counterparts as well. Great sticks overall.

My favourite sticks so far

I think I've tried most drumstick brands and these are the best for my playstyle. They take a good long while to wear out and I have gotten used to the somewhat different bounce characteristics of oak.
That being said, I did once buy a pair elsewhere which broke after 20 seconds of soundcheck. Only issue I've had with this model of sticks in over 6 years of use.

Superior Japanese quality

I really liked the design. It is not light, but the wood carving was very comfortable for the hands
Although its weight is not light, the existing drawing, 10/ 10 I did not expect that the Japanese brand could excel with these capabilities.

Indestructible

These were my go-to sticks my first year of playing drums. I must have gotten hundreds of hours out of them. Playing with poor technique, open-handed on a hi-hat that was set up way too tall. I don't think I could have treated these worse if I tried, but they held up to more than a year of abuse.
I thought I would saw through them at some point, but what finally killed them was the tips chipping.

HOWEVER, you pay for this durability with stiffness. They send a lot of energy back through your hands, especially when you lay into them. Enough that hard single hits like rimshots can actually be painful.
