The look, touch, scent, durability and the wide and pleasant support that ain't sliding nowhere like nylon or whatnot. Anyway.
To me it's about perspective. A pair of meh (nice if on a big discount) quality leather shoes lasting a couple years at most is used daily or this gem that will outlive you if you treat it like you're hopefully already treating your guitar.
