A hackable investment for us small-scale tinkerers
I bought this one together with the sssnake SXX8100 for a small stage setup to avoid lugging a heavy overkill 30-meter 16/4 snake.
The build quality is exactly what to expect at the price tag. Unlike in the picture, the cable I received was black and had white numbered sleeves on the individual cores instead of the neater coding rings on the Neutrik X-series style plugs. The strain relieves in the cheap plugs don't grip the small cores too well, but that's somewhat expected. It also came with a basic velcro strap to keep the cable coiled up for storage.
In my use case I had need for 6/2 send/return configuration instead of the 8/0 it was built as, so I exchanged the plugs of cores 7 and 8 to make it suit my needs better instead of investing in four adapters or running two additional cables.

This is a time saver.....
This sssnake is a massive time saver when setting up for gig and reduces the massive piles of leads leading from the stage to the mixing desk front of house.
Just plug the 8 numbered xlr inputs into the mixing desk and run the large single cable to the stage where everyone plugs it to the corresponding 8 plugs. Great idea and great quality for the price.
My only request would be for blank labels instead of the numbered ones so that you could record the mic details instead.

Good multicore
Easy to use, ideal for small gigs and small spaces, I have used it when the desk is close to the stage. does what is was made to do.

Very useful
This 5m loom is perfect for my needs. It has good connections and is a great alternative to stage box style looms. Its easy to coil and transport and is well labelled. I use it mostly for location recordings and it greatly improves cable management and keeping things neat and tidy.

Ideal for Studio or Live
This loom has saved me time on two occasions, the first being in the studio where i was able to run form the only patch in the room to the middle of it so the cable runs were shorter and over all neater.
The next was during a live show, this was used to connect out 16 radio mics to the stage box ( Along with another 8 way loom ) and this loom as ideal as it has long enough tails to reach anywhere but not to get tangled easily. Provides a clean quick and easy way to route 8 XLR channels.

So Handy
I bought a coupe of these looms over a year ago now and have since been back to buy more because they are just so handy, i now have 5 of these purely because they tidy up the stage so much. the cable is good quality, easy to coil, and hard wearing. the numbering of the breakout cable is clear, and i have had no problems with any of the connectors at all. i use them to run cable to my amp racks and then to separate sections of the stage to save running all the individual cables directly into the stage box. i would recommend these to anyone doing live sound, and for the money.... you cant do much better.

This multicore is awesome!
These days you can easily spend way more than what this multicore cable costs, but I don't see a reason why you should do that.
I bought this cable to prevent the mess that is usually happening when I record drums at my studio and it works just fine. The cable is sturdy and I think I will be able to use it for years and years to come. I also didn't notice any degradation in the sound quality so I guess I can say that the cable "sounds" good.
I think that this multicore was mainly build for the studio, but I guess that if you are working in a really small club or bar it could also be a good fit for you.
