If you need a MIDI socket in a neutrik D-shape it's a good choice.
Although the metal is a little bit thin.
It has good solder connections and the MIDI part is just as expected.

this socket works ok which is the main thing. its just well compared to neutrik stuff its a poor relation, sort of cheap and tacky. as i say it works fine so maybe im being a bit unfair but when i soldered the wires to the back i half expected the thing to melt- it didnt but thats the impression i got. it doesnt inspire confidence but works a treat.

Not as good quality as the neutrik range, I couldnt find Neutrik
It feels not as good quality, having said that, its worked everytime with no problems
