This is good rosin for everyday playing; however, after a few uses the metal container starts getting sticky and it gets difficult to get apart. For someone who is very careful and never lets anyone else use their rosin the sticky container may not be an issue; however, I have several young students who frequently forget their rosin and use mine-which may be the culprit behind the "sticky container issue." Overall, unless I found a better deal, I would buy this rosin again next time I need it.I love this rosin. Have been using dominant strings on my acoustic viola for years, and usually use a slightly darker rosin for my viola. For my electric violin, I use this rosin, which is sort of a medium rosin. It comes in a metal tin and is resistant to that terrible rosin crumbling that I seem to attract. Great stuff. I recommend this product.
