United Studio Technologies UT Tube67

I bought the UT Tube67 mainly for flamenco guitar, ambient fusion and organic electronic productions, and honestly this microphone exceeded my expectations immediately.

The sound feels expensive, deep and musical in a way that is hard to describe until you hear it in person. Compared to smaller condenser microphones, the Tube67 gives a much larger and more three-dimensional image with smoother highs and a richer midrange. Nylon string guitar sounds incredibly natural and cinematic through it.

I was also surprised by how versatile the multipattern modes are. Cardioid is focused and controlled, while omni becomes huge and airy in a treated room. The microphone reacts beautifully to dynamics and captures subtle finger detail without sounding harsh.

Build quality is excellent, the power supply feels solid, and the glowing tube gives real studio character. It genuinely feels like a boutique high-end microphone rather than a generic clone.

For the price, this is one of the most inspiring pieces of studio gear I have ever bought.

Ich nahm bislang u.a. mit dem UT87 Twin des selben Herstellers: ein phantastisches Mikrofon! Ich verwende SSL Pure Drive Quad, BAE 1073 MP und Locomotive Audio 2-86B und setzte mein X8P 1th.Gen. überwiegend nur als Wandler und Interface; ich verwende UAD Luna. Ich nehme meist akustische Instrumente auf, sehr häufig Saxophone, häufig Altosaxophon. Hier überzeugte bereits vollkommen das UT67 Twin. Das UT67 liefert all das, was man sich von einer U67-Replika erhofft: feine Auflösung, dichte, hoch aufgelöste, warme Mitten, Rolloff der Höhen ohne dumpf, stumpf oder matt zu klingen. Das Altosaxophon klingt hervorragend damit: warm, voll, fein aufgelöst, cremige Mitten, unaufdringliche, edle Höhen. Ich weiß nicht, wie nah es am Original liegt, dem Neumann U67, aber daß dieses Röhrenmikrofon, das UT67, ein exzellentes Mikrofon ist: das unglaublich gut klingt und funktioniert! Sehr zu empfehlen!
