I only had to wait 30 years for my dream guitar but it was so worth it. If Heavy metal is your thing and you're a fan of Kirk Hammett well then you will not be disappointed with this guitar. Once I started playing I just lost complete track of time. It's such an easy guitar to play and out of the box the setup was pretty much to my satisfaction. I did have to restring as I broke the high E when tuning but to be fair thats no biggie. I was going to put on a new set any way. I'm running through a hughs and Kettner TubeMeister deluxe 20 watt head into a 60 Watt hughs and Kettner cabinet with a pedal set up of KH wah, Revv G3 and a reverb and I'm very satisfied with the sound. Running this guitar through a clean channel is bright and full but still punchy due to the active bone breakers on the neck and bridge.
Pros: A beautifully constructed guitar, Flawless paint job and a dream to play
Cons: none that I can think of.
Conclusion: A great guitar for a very reasonable price.

Just received mine and honestly it does not disappoint! great sound and very playable. I love the scalloped frets especially for those classic KH solos. Only downside is this being my first floyd rose with locking nuts so its a pain to tune and keep in tune.

Ich bin Fan von Metallica und wenn ich ehrlich bin, war es Kirk der mich Mitte der 90er inspiriert hat Gitarre zu spielen. Ich besitze bereits eine Ltd Kh25 mit Emg 81/60, also dachte ich mir, dass ein Les Paul shape mit Bonebreakern eine tolle Alternative ist. Die Kh3 musste zunächst eingestellt werden. Einfach aus den Koffer nehmen und einstöpseln war nicht drin. 10er Ernie Balls aufgezogen, Floyd Rose justiert, Saitenlage angepasst und dann konnte es losgehen.(Einstellungen am Halsstab waren nicht nötig, Intonation war nur geringfügig bei der hohen e nötig) Wenn die Gitarre erst mal eingestellt ist, spielt sie sich unglaublich gut. Der Hals hat ein tolles Profil, etwas breiter als der meiner Kh25, lässt er trotzdem schnelle Leadpassagen mühelos zu. Das Floyd Rose hält bis jetzt auch allen Belastungen stand und bleibt stabil. (Ich war nicht zimperlich beim testen ;) Ich finde das Vibrato muss gerade bei diesen Gitarrentyp passen und verlässlich arbeiten) Zu den Tonabnehmern kann ich sagen, dass sie der üblichen 81/60 Kombination sehr nahe kommen. Meiner Meinung nach sind es nur Nuancen die hier den Unterschied machen. Was ich mir an Hardware, bei diesen Preis noch gewünscht hätte, sind Locking Tuner. Bei den scaloped Frets war ich anfangs skeptisch, weil ich damit noch keine Erfahrungen gemacht hab. Funktioniert für mich aber bestens und ich habe mich im Handumdrehen daran gewöhnt. Alles in allen, ist das eine super Gitarre mit einen tollen Sustain. Für Fans von Kirk eigentlich ein must have.
