Through Sound Shaping Technology, each drumhead, according to its size, is provided with an individual damping ring which is incorporated into the skin rather than glued

I bought those as replacement on my Sonor 3005 fusion kit. It really made a huge difference compared to the stock (and totally worn) drum heads. I recommend those for allround to pop/rock use.

Evans!

Evans drum skins are top quality. The sound is perfect, they are durable and last long. I would highly recommend Evans over and above any other skin brand.
I recently switched to Hydraulic batters for all my toms; the EC2s are a classic looking and sounding clear tom batter, but the hydraulics for me are a lot rounder and fuller sounding. They decay quicker than the EC2s clears, so for my taste hydraulics are perfect. But, if you prefer longer decay and a slightly more complex set of fine overtone options in tuning, then I couldn't recommend the EC2s skins more.
Proper good old Evans.
My favourites by far :-)

Great Sound

The sound from the Evans EC2S is superb. Has its own natural dampening different from other drum heads. The tone is also quite natural and deep. I highly recommend.

Evans EC2S Fusion Set

I bought these to replace the stock heads that had been on my drums for a year because I needed heads that had a greater durability than most to withstand my heavy rehearsing.
I did have doubts about how the heads would sound on my drums as I didn't want them to sound totally dead, but they turned out to have plenty of sustain that gave them a much more adaptable sound, for use in many styles, not just rock.
They are double-ply heads so very strong for heavy metal and the dampening ring on each head is sized according to the drum head and just cuts off the excessive overtones (they also make the drum kit very nice to look at)
Overall a great set of heads with a much more versatile sound than I expected; good stuff Thomann!
