Harley Benton CLO-70SR SBK

I bought this as a gigging acoustic (I put a baggs M1 in, keep for two years or so and move on before I wear the frets down too much). Had a guitar with an arm bevel before so that was a selling point. £180 for a solid top acoustic is also a draw. The build quality is top draw, great finishing and fretwork etc. Sounds resonant and balanced. Good bass for a concert sized guitar. Set up was perfect out of the box, just had to lower the nut slots on the B and E strings as was slightly sharp at the 3rd fret. Other than that haven't touched it. Unbelievable value. Sounds great with the pickup in it, lightweight and comfortable to play. Curious as to how different the all solid version sounds, for £100 more. I guess a bit warmer and more projection but absolutely happy with this one. I've worked in guitar shops for years, played a lot of guitars and this is easily as good as anything twice it's price. Tremendo instrumento a tremendo precio.

El hecho de que por 199€ podamos tener una guitarra con tapa sólida de sitka rematado por madera seleccionada de palisandro sonokeling es de locura. Si a esto le sumamos el mimo por detalle, pins de ébano con cabeza de caoba (¿en serio? no era necesario y aún así lo han puesto), diapasón de palisandro, reposabrazos de sapele, trastes de alpaca premium, hueso en selletas y cejuela, mástil satinado, tenemos un instrumento que suena y se toca tan bien como luce.
La resonancia, proyección y claridad con estos componentes y calidad de construcción, así como de control de calidad son de sobresaliente. Todo esto por 199€ es un sueño. Además, al prescindir de preamplificador, todo el esfuerzo ha ido en la madera y la construcción, prescindiendo de complejidades.
No tengo duda alguna de que este instrumento satisfará a la mayoría abrumadora de músicos, cubriendo lo que necesites con una calidad de audio abrumadora.

Podría extenderme como hago habitualmente, pero no lo haré. Solo te diré: cómprala ya.
La mejor guitarra acústica que he probado en mi vida, viniendo realmente muy cómoda en el ajuste para tocar recién salida de casa. Con instrumentos así, uno de da cuenta del tremendo sobrecoste que se paga por las marcas de siempre. Creo que me haré con el modelo superior también, antes de que se agoten o se deje de fabricar.

Ich habe mir die Harley Benton kürzlich zusammen mit einer Ibanez AW54CE-OPN bestellt und wollte diese im Vergleich hören/ spielen und mich letztendlich für eine entscheiden.

Der Versand war seitens Thomann erfahrungsgemäß erste Sahne, trotz Cyber Week - allerdings hinkte DHL aufgrund des Weihnachtsgeschäftes deutlich hinterher.

Die Gitarre macht optisch einen sehr guten Eindruck und sieht wirklich klasse aus. Die Saitenlage ist etwas hoch und die Saiten selbst sind jetzt nicht meine erste Wahl... ich bin nicht sicher, ob das durch die Lagerung bei DHL kommt oder woher auch immer, jedenfalls waren an den Diskantsaiten bereits minimal Korrosion sichtbar.

Ich bin nicht sicher, ob und wie stark die Akustik darunter leidet, aber gegenüber meiner Vergleichsgitarre fand ich sie nicht so gut. Verglichen mit der günstigsten Harley Benton (für rd. 79 EUR) jedoch natürlich um längen besser.

Ursprünglich stand in der Beschreibung auch, dass die Gitarre mit einem Tonabnehmer versehen ist. Inzwischen ist das korrigiert, zum Zeitpunkt der Bestellung war dies jedoch noch anders, weshalb ich auch von einem Tonabnehmer ausgegangen bin. Aufgrund dieses Missverständnisses habe ich die Gitarre dann letztendendes doch zurückgesandt, obwohl sie sowohl optisch als auch klanglich in Ordnung war. Die Ibanez hat mir dann allerdings im Vergleich nochmal deutlich besser gefallen, zum einen aufgrund des Tonabnehmers und auch vom Klang.

Ich würde Harley Benton empfehlen, entweder bessere Saiten zu produzieren oder hochwertigere Saiten zu benutzen. Ich bin mir sicher, wenn auf der Gitarre Elixir oder Daddario drauf gewesen wären, wäre es klanglich eine schwere Entscheidung zwischen beider Modelle gewesen.
