The Marcus miller z7-5 bass delivers quality well beyond its price tag. Straight out of the box it plays like a dream and has quickly become my bass of choice.

I took a chance on the colour; although advertised as mint, I would say that it is more baby blue…it does look a lot better in the flesh than on the photographs. It’s definitely a refreshing change to tobacco burst etc and I’m sure will get attention on stage!

Sound wise it’s a bit of a beast, certainly louder than any of my other basses; I’ve only rehearsed with it twice to date and haven’t yet found a go to sound, however, this is due to the numerous options available from the pre amp…a nice problem to have!

Tuners/machine heads are much better than on my fender jazz American ultra, holding tune better and requiring smaller movements to tune.

The next is slim and fast and the rolled edges great. There were some dark marks on the fretboard near several frets, which I was disappointed by considering the quality of the instrument in every other regard; I messaged Thomann with my concerns…the costumer service is excellent, they quickly offered to exchange, refund or reduce the price of the bass. I chose the latter option as I had already bonded with the bass. Top marks to Thomann.

I bought this bass without having played a Marcus miller and am so glad I took the risk, it really is nice to play and I would definitely purchase another without hesitation.

I’ve owned a Sire V7 since 2015 and it’s a top-class instrument, which is why I trusted the brand and bought this Z7 sight unseen.
A perfect instrument: balanced, powerful, comfortable, and lightweight.
After slightly adjusting the action and the neck to my taste, it immediately became my favorite instrument.
The color is stunning! I was looking for a bass that would catch the eye and be musically top-notch without spending a fortune, and I found all of that in this one!
Highly recommended!

Erstklassige Verarbeitung, super Optik und Haptik, tiefe Seitenlage möglich auf Anhieb, klasse Soundvielfalt, wahnsinns output.
Und die Farbe ist der Hammer :-)
